The service
ai-detector.co provides automated statistical analysis of submitted text and returns an estimate of the likelihood that the text was machine generated. The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, and may change, rate-limit or pause without notice.
What the scores are
Scores are probabilistic estimates, not findings of fact. You agree not to represent a score from this service as proof of authorship, academic misconduct, professional dishonesty or any equivalent claim about a person. A score may be one input into a human judgment; it is never a substitute for one.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: submit text you have no right to process; attempt to overwhelm, scrape or programmatically exploit the free service beyond its fair-use limits; probe or attack the infrastructure; or use outputs to harass or defame. Automated access ahead of the official API is not supported and may be blocked.
Your content
You retain all rights to text you submit. We claim no license over it beyond the transient processing needed to return a result, and as described in the privacy policy, we do not retain it.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ai-detector.co and its operator are not liable for decisions made, by you or anyone else, on the basis of a score, nor for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the service. The service’s aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for it, which for the free tier is zero.
Changes
Continued use after an update to these terms constitutes acceptance. The date above always reflects the current version. Questions go through the contact page.
